HDFC Bank Credit Card Devaluation Update
HDFC Bank has announced significant changes to its credit card policies, impacting transactions for rent payments, wallet reloads, and online skill-based gaming. These new fees and reward point adjustments will be effective from July 1, 2025. Users are advised to review these changes to understand their impact.

Key Changes Effective July 1, 2025:
- Rent Pay Transactions: A 1% fee will be levied on the transaction amount for rental payments made on applicable merchants. This fee is capped at Rs 4999 per transaction.
- Online Skill-Based Gaming:
- A 1% fee will be applied to online skill-based gaming spends exceeding Rs 10,000 in a calendar month. The fee will be calculated on the total gaming spends for the month, capped at Rs 4999 per transaction.
- Reward Points/CashPoints will no longer be earned on online skill-based gaming transactions across all HDFC credit cards.
- Wallet Loading (excluding PayZapp): A 1% fee will be levied on wallet loading spends exceeding Rs 10,000 in a calendar month. The fee will be applied to the total wallet loading spends for the month, capped at Rs 4999 per transaction.
- Insurance Transactions: Reward Points accrued for insurance transactions will have a maximum monthly cap:
- 10,000 points for Infinia, Infinia (Metal Edition)
- 5,000 points for Diners Black Metal Edition, Diners Black, H.O.G DinersClub, BizBlack Metal Cards
- 2,000 points for all other credit cards.
