ICICI Credit Card Devaluation: New Fees Effective October 1, 2025

ICICI Bank has announced significant changes to its credit card features and fee structure, effective October 1, 2025. These updates impact various transaction types, including Dynamic Currency Conversion, skill-based gaming, wallet loads, and cash payments at branches.

Key Changes Effective October 1, 2025:

  • Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) Fee: A 3.5% fee will apply to transactions conducted in Indian currency at international locations or with merchants located in India but registered in a foreign nation.
    • Exceptions: 2% for Emeralde Private, 0.99% for MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank (not Signature/Platinum), 1.49% for Times Black, and 1.99% for Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Cards.
  • Skill-Based Gaming Transactions: A 1% fee will be charged on transactions of ₹5,000 or more.
  • Wallet Load Transactions: A 1% fee will be charged on wallet loads of ₹10,000 or more.
  • Cash Payment at Branches: A fee of ₹150 will be levied per payment transaction.
